Sometimes it can be hard to maintain the glamour, I am not going to lie. When it’s 29 degrees outside all I want to do is curl up in the hideous flannel pajamas my granny gave me and ignore my stockings and heels. Alas, the world doesn’t go into hibernation when temperatures dip. In fact, it seems some girls enjoy taking it all off even more, all in the name of entertainment, of course.

There’s a LOT going on in the coming weeks, which is what has prompted this post. Some of it is holiday related and some isn’t. I hope I can sweet talk you into braving the cold and enjoying some of it with me! Glamour and fun know no season, and December in Kansas City is out to prove it in style!

    • During First Friday in the Crossroads, the Gears ‘n Gals calendar release party beginning at 8:30 at The Brick. Several of the pin-ups will be on hand to sign calendars, which make terrific holiday gifts because they are both practical AND fun!

    • This Saturday, Yelp Shops Local has your brunch and shopping destinations all planned out for you! There will be stops at some of my favorite stores including Retro Vixen!

    • Don’t forget to also get down to the West Bottoms to see what Liberty Belle has this month!

    • Saturday night I’ll be performing “cigarette girl” duties for Hot Hot Heather Presents…The Kansas City Darlings! It’s a tempting roster of talent, and sure to be a good time. Not to toot my own horn too much, but I designed their poster!

    • Tuesday, more lovely ladies and fabulous freaks take the stage at The Beaumont when Pretty Things Peepshow come to town. The Latenight Callers will be opening for them.

    • Thursday night, The Latenight Callers return with Thee Water MoccaSins at Crosstown Station, which is going to be a fantastic show.

    • And Saturday, rounding out the week with more burlesque, this time from the KCSOB, who are creating the hottest winter wonderland in town, at Korruption.

There’s more, but I don’t want to overwhelm you, so I’ll save it. I’ve got more to talk about soon, but until then, I hope to see you out and about in the coming days!

xoxo
