I was feeling a little under the weather when we went to see The Kills last Saturday night, hence my serious look here. I chugged 2 bottles of water and felt a lot better though. I was super excited for this show because we saw them on tour for the Midnight Boom album years ago in Lawrence and they were amazing.
They didn’t disappoint this time, despite being in a way bigger venue. I was sold when the leopard print backdrop lowered from the ceiling, and Alison Mosshart came out with red and black ombré hair. Hell yes. I was feeling a little, well, “goth-y” considering the crowd was mostly dudes with long unwashed hair and tiny hipster girls. However I was vindicated when I almost ran down a group of boys in the lobby and was rewarded with an exclamation of “WOW! WOW!”. I’m going to assume this was a positive thing. The show was great, it was fun to go see a band my husband and I both like. Anyway, let’s talk frock.
